The Pawpaw County online gossip site, the Hoosier Squealer, spins a lurid tale about the mansion and its ghosts. Veenie’s grown son, Fergie Junior, an unemployed musician who lives in her basement between the canned goods and the Christmas decorations, scoffs at the idea of ghosts. The Squealer puts out the word that anyone knowing about the mansion and the bones found there should contact the Shady Hoosier Detective Agency ASAP.
